If any of you out there still use MySpace, you’ll be excited to know that MySpace is getting its first significant makeover in ages, according to Mashable. Taking cues from Facebook, and its own MySpace Lite experiment, the new MySpace profiles being tested strip out some of the bloat, streamline navigation and de-emphasize comments from other users.
You’ll notice upon visiting one of the redesigned pages that the navigation buttons have been shifted into a column on the left side, under the profile photo. Next, you’ll see the center of the page has been overtaken by the MySpace Stream, an index of a user’s recent activity similar to Facebook’s News Feed, ready for visitors comments. You’ll also notice that there is improved integration with other social networking services like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
